Millie's Garbanzo Bread

Garbanzo Bread is:
 Yeast free, Gluten Free, Dairy free, Low Glycemic, & Wheat free

I have been creating some different breads lately and one of them was my garbanzo bread.  This has become my favorite one so far. It is light, flaky and so delicious. It is simple to make, so here is my recipe.

2 cups Garbanzo/fava flour

1/2 cup gluten free bread flour

1 tsp. kosher salt

1/3 c. vegetable oil

2 T. vegetable shortening

3 T. non-dairy butter (melted)

4 envelopes of raw sugar

1-1/3 c. warm water

Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl then add your wet ingredients. Mix well with your hands, once your bread is well mixed arrange it in a small baking pan greased with Crisco olive oil non-stick spray. Bake at 360 for 25 minutes or until lightly golden brown....Enjoy with some non-dairy butter.

  1. So it seems kind of like a cornbread, not bread really for sandwiches, but more for snacking on. It looks beautiful, Millie.
