Christmas Cookie Extravaganza...Post 11...Chocolate Covered Maraschino Cherries
This is the easiest thing to make and if you are partying this Christmas then this is a must among your guests.
Use one or more jars full of maraschino cherries with the stem on them. Melt a bag of non-dairy chocolate chips in the microwave. Then add 2 tsp. cooking oil per bags. Mix well and then dip your cherries in....then set them on a tray making sure they are standing up straight. Place them in the refrigerator until 15 minutes before serving. I used red and green maraschino cherries and then I froze them for our Christmas Eve party in a tight lid container.
